Last weekend saw the Bournemouth Regional Schools tournament take place, with Penair U14s from Cornwall winning a very special award: the Spirit of the Game award.

Netball South West had awarded them the £500 before the award ceremony then found out they’d had such a great day that they all wanted to stay to the end - they were the only school who’d not won anything who stayed behind.

"I told their teacher how, when I heard they were staying, I knew we’d made the right choice," says Netball South West chair Karen Jones. "They epitomised what the award was all about. If you ever want to know how to make a regional chair and a PE teacher well up, that’s how you do it! They were over the moon and can’t wait for a coaching visit from Team Bath."

Well done Penair U14s!
