Kernow Officials once again show their merit at Bournemouth Regional Schools.
This year, of the 6 officials selected for Regional School finals only 2 were available to attend: Elaine Rickard and Emily Smith.
What an impact the 2 officials made in the age groups they officiate!
Elaine Rickard, B' award earned U19 Semi final followed by U19 final. Keslowena Elaine.
The tournament was a first experience for Emily Smith who is a newly qualified official (3 months). Emily impressed the assessors and earned U14 Semi final followed by U14 final. To top this Emily was selected by Judith Groves (International Assessor) and awarded 'Umpire of the Tournament' out of 30 umpires! Keslowena Emily!
Individual awards for officials introduced in recent years are presented for 'Umpire of the tournament' & ' Most improved'.We are delighted that this is the 4th consecutive tournament that either 1 or both these awards have been presented to Kernow officials, continuing the high quality stature of our officials flying the St Piran flag over the border.
