A talented trio of young umpires are set to make their debut into Division 1 of Cornwall's County League this season.

Ella Waterhouse, 17, was SW talent identified (TID) at the tender age of 15 and has already  gained two seasons of experience at Regional Level. Ella was selected for the Regional Schools finals in Bournemouth  pre-Covid and showed her worth, impressing  international assessor Judith Groves who awarded her ‘most promising umpire’ .

Hope Lushington, SW (TID), returns to the county this season having finished university. Hope is both a talented official and player. More recently, Hope took the opportunity of officiating whilst in Australia. Hope is actively working towards the next officiating level: B award.

Rosie Glover, SW (TID), shows a natural officiating talent and is also a senior Regional 3 player.

These three young umpires currently hold the officiating C' award, and there is no doubt they could in time rise to the top of the officiating ladder.

We're proud to have them in the officiating team in Cornwall – well done Ella, Hope and Rosie!
